Seed Procurement Position
Minnesota Native Landscapes, Inc., an established ecological restoration company and seed nursery based in Otsego, MN is currently looking to fill a Seed Procurement Position. The applicant must have: extensive experience operating Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheets; good organizational skills; the ability to do manual labor; and work independently. Responsibilities will include selling/marketing seed to retail and wholesale vendors, keeping up with State seed standards and laws, assisting estimators in pricing, and maintaining current inventory/testing/knowledge of seed on hand. Additional responsibilities will include hand mixing seed mixes, bagging, shipping and invoicing seed. Applicants will be expected to be able to lift seed bags weighing approximately 50 pounds. Preferred qualifications include a degree in botany, agronomy, conservation sciences, marketing and/or sales experience. Field Staff Positions
Minnesota Native Landscapes, Inc., an established ecological restoration company and seed nursery based in Foley, is currently looking to fill Field Technician, Greenhouse Technician, and or Seed Cleaner positions. The applicant must be willing to perform physical labor for the extent of the shift. Duties may include hoeing fields, harvesting crops, running seed cleaning equipment, weeding greenhouse plants, watering, or transplanting seedlings.
Applicants will be expected to assist in all aspects of greenhouse, tree nursery, and seed production operations as needed. The base hours are 7 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday with the potential for additional time based on performance. Starting pay is $10/hr. The anticipated term of the position will be July-October.
