The use of mowings in landscape management has
proven to be a reliable form of weed control.
By reducing the aggressive growth patterns of most weedy species,
mowings can greatly aid in the development of herbaceous native prairie,
wetland, shoreline, and savanna species.
These mowings, when performed at the proper height and timed
correctly, will restrict weed growth and keep an area looking groomed
until the native landscape matures and is better able to fend for its
self.
